series; Fatal Frame
world; All God's Village
description; All Gods Village is a deeply religious community with a high priest as its leader. They place high value in their ceremonies and rituals. The village is home to a myth of a gateway to hell which is a great chasm deep underground which leads to the world of the dead, or the Underworld.
The Village is also home to a large amount of sets of twins. Twins are highly regarded and cared for as they play a very important role within the village.
Life in the village was difficult as it was cut off from the outside world and crops were difficult to grow.
The village has an Abyss deep underneath the village, which the villagers feared as the gateway to Hell. The villagers created rituals to satisfy this Abyss and keep away the Repentance. One of the rituals developed by All God's Village was the Crimson Sacrifice Ritual, in which one twin strangled the other to death.
Another was the Kusabi ritual, in which they captured an outsider and caused them great suffering before sacrificing them to the Abyss.
The village was wiped from the map after Sae's failed ritual, the Hellish Abyss was not satisfied with a series of failed rituals, for example Itsuki and Mutsuki's failed ritual, Sae's failed ritual was the final straw, the Repentance spilled out of the Abyss and killed some of the villagers, Seijiro Makabe, the last Kusabi, returned in Kusabi form and slaughtered the villagers who survived the Repentance, while Sae's insane spirit watched with insane hysterical laughter. In the end, there was only one survivor from the village, a lone girl who fled the village before the Repentance happened.
At the end of the game, the are where All God's Village was situated was destroyed by the lake made by the All God's Dam.
points of interest;
Village Entrance; Once entering the area you find yourself unable to find your way back the way you came In the center of the area is a large stone with five pillar like stones surrounding it. Around them is a thick rope cord with wards hanging from it. There is an ominous feeling that is coming from it and it is said that it is covering a deep hole...perhaps a hole that leads to the underworld? Also by glancing around a person will see two different paths they can take as well as a ledge that over looks a very dark village.
Village Proper; Should you choose the right path from the entrance you will find yourself in the village proper, streets lined with old decrepit buildings that look to be falling apart. There is an odd feeling here though, you hear a sad ceremony song being sung as well as the murmur of people in the distance. Should you head towards said noises you may come across a group of men carrying things like torches, spears, and even sickles. All muttering the same thing, "Where is she" and "The ceremony must start". These men will attack you if you get too close.
However there are choices for you to make while you are here. There is a house you can enter right as you come to a T intersection, this is Osaka House. If you choose to go left you will find a boarded up well with a couple boards forced up, and just past that there is a storage room. To the left of said storage room is a small door, you can enter this to hide away from the ghosts that might be following you.
Osaka House; Upon entering you are met with a entrance room with one door on the opposite wall and a open lattice wall to your left that looks into a room full of kimonos. Going through the door will lead you to this room which is a main room with a sunken fire place. There is a hallway that leads to two different rooms, a staircase that leads to one room, and finally there are two rooms that branch off from the fireplace area.
Kiryu House;
Tachibana House;
Kurosawa House;
Kureha Shrine; On the outskirts of the town, past Kiryu House there is a shrine. Inside is an alter and many broken latice pieces. It is here that the ghost of a priest can be found from time to time, as if guarding something. Possibly the way out of the village?
Old Tree; Inside this old tree are a multitude of small pin wheels as well as a separate entrance that leads to the cemetery. In the tree it's self there stands a alter like object that looks much like the puzzle in the Osaka House Family Alter Room. However the dials are missing. If all four dials are found this puzzle can unlock a secret passage under Kureha Shrine that will allow you to get out of the village!
Cemetery; Graves are lined in tight rows, many with similar last names showing how much of the village was only a few families. The graves are silent but there are th occasional villager ghost who will appear just to ruin your day.
Underground Passageway; These passageways are hidden and can only be accessed from inside one of the four houses; Osaka, Kiryu; Tachibana, or Kurosawa. That being said the passages from both the Osaka house and the Kurosawa house have been partially collapsed and is impassable.
additional information; Each of the "enemies" that might be in the area I have linked to where they appear in the different houses. I hope this is okay as there ar

Going through the door will lead you to this room which is a main room with a sunken fire place. There is a hallway that leads to two different rooms, a staircase that leads to one room, and finally there are two rooms that branch off from the fireplace area.
- Kimono Room; This room seems to contain multiple kimonos, all hanging in carious places. A crimson butterfly lamp lights the room from one corner. The east most wall seems to be little more than latices that shows the entrance way and front door. A dresser stands at the north most wall and one the west wall there is a closet. Inside the closet are many boxes and once you walk in you feel as if you are being watched from something within the boxes.
- Guest room; Here the atmosphere seems fairly safe. This room is located across from the Kimono room and really only has a bed, which seems to have a human shaped lump in it, also there i a screen dividing the bed area from the rest of the room. A window shows a beautiful atrium and it seems like you may be able to see a woman passing by from time to time.
- 2nd Floor Servants Room; Here is actually three separate rooms all connected by open archways. Many boxes and tables are strewn through out and upon entering the third room there are three book cases lined with old books that are hard to read. You may come across some that you can read.
- Family Alter Room; Once you enter this room it is much like the others, a mess. However on the table you can see a flashlight as well as a camera. Here if a particular puzzle in the alter is solved a bit of wall will become unlocked with an audible click and allow for you to enter the underground passageway that connects many of the houses. Unfortunately there has been a cave in after the Repentance started and you can not access the other houses form the Osaka houses passage.
- Upon picking up the Camera Obscura the ghosts everywhere will become extremely hostile with a kill on sight mentality. Also a woman who's journals you can find everywhere will appear here(her files can be read on the provided wikia page near the bottom of the page).
- Back Room; This is the final room in the Osaka house. In this room is a coal brazier and an open patio that looks out on the beautiful garden that can be seen from the Guest Room as well. Here is yes another place where a particular woman spirit as well as the spirit of her dead lover may be encountered. they are extremely hostile and will attack and try to kill you.
